Happening in the Legislature this Week

Few of the bills we’re tracking are up for hearings this week, but there are agency presentations scheduled on the budget. In addition, the Capital Budget Committee will hold a hearing on the capital improvements budget, and a special joint committee will hold its first hearing on the Senate casino bill.

Tuesday

Capital improvements: Senate Capital Budget Committee will hold a hearing on HB 25, the capital improvements plan passed as amended with wide bipartisan support in the House. (9:30 a.m. State House Room 103)
Expanded gambling: House Joint Committee of Finance and Ways and Means will hold a hearing on SB 152, which would allow a single casino. (10:15 a.m. Representative’s Hall)
