We alerted members last week that Jonathan Zygmont, son of our union brother, David Zygmont, had gone missing. It appears that over the weekend, his body was found in the Piscataqua River, not far from where he was last seen.
David Zygmont confirmed the news via Facebook this morning.
“As many of my New England friends are aware from news reports the Piscataqua gave us Jon back yesterday morning,” Zygmont said. “I want to thank everyone for their love, expressions of support and diligent efforts over these last two weeks. It is folks like you he admired and felt most comfortable around. I love you all.”
SEA President Diana Lacey offered condolences on behalf of the association.
“We were devastated to see this news this morning,” Lacey said. “Anytime we lose a member of our union family, it’s tough, but more so when it’s one of our children. We’ll keep the Zygmont family in our thoughts during this difficult time.”
