Calling All SEA Members: Stay & Play Camping Adventure

School’s Almost Out.  Looking for a Family Outing?

If you are wondering what you can do for low cost family fun this summer, here’s a great opportunity to consider. The SEA/SEIU Local 1984 Social Activities Committee is sponsoring a weekend camping trip for members and their families at a fabulous family-oriented campground in Thornton, NH.

The event is taking place the weekend of July 26 & 27 and we’ve pre-ordered great weather!  The free outing is happening at the Pemi River Campground. Get directions here.  You can come for a day trip or spend the whole weekend, if you like.

There’s plenty to do – a playground for the kids, equipment to play frisbee, volleyball and horseshoes and even mini golf! (There is a $5 fee to play mini-golf). Kayaks, tubes, and canoes are also available to rent, if you are looking to cool off on the water.

We will be having a group barbecue Saturday night. If attending, please bring a dish to share.

If you decide you would like to stay over, there are 17 sites available at no cost. However, we will need to furnish a deposit of $20 per spot to hold the space.  The deposit will be refunded when you arrive. For more information, contact Tammy Clark, Social Activities Committee chair at or contact the SEA Office at 271-3411.
