SEA/SEIU Local 1984 and the NH Liquor Commission have reached a settlement agreement regarding the criteria by which part-time retail store employees can be said to work on a “regular” basis, and therefore qualify as bargaining unit members.
At this time, the specific details – including a timeline – of implementing this settlement are still being worked on between the parties in an amicable manner. While it is our sincere hope that this happens quickly, we cannot provide a definite date by which employees will see retroactive compensation in their pay checks or begin to receive this wage change going forward.
The Liquor Commission is now beginning to implement compensation of Sunday and calendar holiday pay for some part-time employees. The implementation includes retroactive pay for calendar holidays back to July 4, 2012, and Sundays back to July 1, 2014. The parties have agreed to the retroactive pay for all qualified part-time employees, including those who have since become full-time with the Commission.
While this is a good start, we want all impacted employees to be made whole as quickly as possible and we are working through the appropriate channels to guarantee that.
