DHHS Conversation Continues at Roundtable

Second Agency-Wide Discussion to Take Place on June 25

All SEA/SEIU Local 1984 members employed by the state Department of Health and Human Services are invited to participate in a roundtable discussion on Thursday, June 25 at 6 p.m. The event will be held at the SEA/SEIU Local 1984 office at 207 N. Main St., Concord, and via our video conferencing system.

In April, members from DHHS gathered to discuss challenges, concerns and opportunities that they were each facing at the department and discover if there are common issues they could work on together. Members in attendance participated in a roundtable discussion and collectively identified some potential issues they felt were worth further consideration. The thought was that by working jointly, they could have a positive impact.

The discussion that began back in April will continue on June 25, and we hope you’ll join us. After sharing experiences and identifying challenges and opportunities, members can form work groups to explore ways to move the issues forward.

Members who don’t work near Concord are invited to participate via our new video conferencing system, if you have a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera and internet access.  Nothing quite compares to being in the room, however, and because we are limited to 100 video conferencing connections, we hope you will join us in Concord.

RSVP here if you plan to participate on Thursday, June 25 at 6 p.m.
