The members of SEA/SEIU Local 1984 announce their endorsement of Andru Volinsky for Executive Council in the 2nd District which includes Rochester, Dover, Concord, and Keene.
Volinsky has demonstrated a strong record of public advocacy for the working people of NH. After meeting with Volinsky, the members of the SEA/SEIU Local 1984 Political Education Committee recommended the endorsement to the union’s Board of Directors. John Hattan, who chairs the Political Education Committee, said, “Mr. Volinsky’s long and tireless commitment to public service and support for NH’s disadvantaged communities are qualities that match our organization’s values. He has proven he will advocate for working families and make fiscally prudent decisions without shying away from the big issues that face our state.”
Volinsky acted as lead attorney in the landmark Claremont school funding case and he currently represents the New Hampshire Retirement Security Coalition, of which SEA/SEIU Local 1984 is a member.
“The Executive Council’s primary role is to act as steward for the State’s economy,” Volinsky said. “I am thrilled that the members of SEA/SEIU Local 1984 have placed their confidence in me, and I shall work hard to maintain their trust.”
