Popular Camping Outing Returns in Early August
Get your sunblock and camping gear ready: The popular Play and Stay Weekend will return the first weekend in August.
This will be the third year for the outing at the Pemi River Campground in Thornton, and Second Vice President Tammy Clark said they’ll be switching things up a bit this year.
“We have rented the entire field for both nights, and in honor of our 75th, we’re charging just $7.50 per night per adult,” Clark said. “There is plenty to do on site for the whole family, and we’re hoping to get members’ suggestions to help make the whole event even better. The only requirement to attend is that you have fun!”
Please contact Tammy Clark directly firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to attend, as we’re handling the logistics this year; there’s no need to contact the campground.
“We’ll have more information in SEA email blasts as the date gets closer, but by emailing me right away, you’ll be certain to get the information first,” Clark said. “And if anyone has ideas about activities for the folks who aren’t into tubing, canoeing or kayaking, we’d love for you to send them along.”
If you’re camping with a tent on the field, there are no “reserved” spaces. If you’re camping with a pop-up or camper that requires water and or electricity, those spaces are limited. It’s unclear if there are any sites that offer sewer.
