If you want to eat better but don’t know where to start, the Weigh-to-Go program offered by Nutrition in Motion is a great idea. Weigh-to-Go is an 8-week course that includes group learning, as well as three one-on-one visits with a registered dietician, designed to help you reach your healthy eating goals.

The really great benefit here are those three one-on-one visits, which are covered by Anthem for anyone on the state employee health benefit. The three one-on-one visits are not exclusive to the Weight-to-Go program, so you don’t necessarily need to work with Nutrition in Motion to access the benefit. However, the nice thing about Weigh-to-Go is that the program takes place at your worksite, so you don’t have to travel anywhere else to take part.

Whether you’re hoping to lose weight or reduce the risk of chronic illness, this program will give you the tools you need to make a big step forward. You’ll emerge knowing more about your metabolism (and how to improve it), as well as heart health and the all-important meal planning techniques. In addition, the one-on-one aspect will provide you with a much more individualized approach.

As noted above, this program is approved for presentation in state worksites, so you’ll want to contact your wellness coordinator or HR representative to find out if something is in the works where you work.
