A little knowledge can go a long way. That’s the idea behind the Know Your Numbers health screenings that are part of Anthem’s Health Rewards program for state employees. The screenings are a quick way to get a better picture of your overall health, and as a nice bonus, you can earn 100 points for completing the screening.
If you work in Concord, there is a Know Your Numbers screening coming up early next month at the State House Annex in Room 201 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Oct. 6. You can make an appointment by logging on at http://promotehealthyhabits.com/Signup/SONH/. Once logged into the Screening Self-Scheduling website click “Schedule Appointment,” then select “State House Annex – Concord, NH” from the Facility/Location menu, reserve a time, and select an email reminder if you would like.
Here’s a quick refresher on how the Know Your Numbers process works: a health professional collects measurements that include height, weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol and glucose (courtesy of a finger-stick sample of your blood). Before you leave, you’ll be alerted to any measurements that fall outside the healthy range and given information on addressing any risk areas.
With those numbers and programs Anthem provides, you can help prevent health issues and figure out where you can make improvements for your health, if needed. It’s about helping you be as healthy as you can be. If improving your health is not enough of an incentive, the program is also part of Health Rewards, which means you can earn 100 points for completing the screening. Those points can be redeemed for an array of merchant gift cards or a Visa debit card.
You can read more about the program, including how you can have your own doctor submit screening numbers, on the state’s website.
