Change Coming to Voluntary Life Insurance

HealthBuzzThere are changes coming next year to the voluntary life insurance program offered to Executive Branch employees. Until now, plans have been offered as bundles — a combination of several different types of plans, such as life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment. Going forward, if you make use of the voluntary plan, you’ll be able to pick and choose from a variety of “a la carte” options.

Employees who currently make use of the voluntary life insurance program were sent a letter last week by Anthem, which is the plan provider. You’ll have the opportunity to decide what changes you want to make during the open enrollment period, which runs from Nov. 7 through Nov. 23. We’ll have a reminder about open enrollment next week.
