What a great time everyone had at the Activist Appreciation event last Tuesday night! We celebrated everyone’s hard work in campaigning, canvassing, phone banking, and a host of other political advocacy efforts.
Participants gathered at the Red River Theatre in Concord around 5:30 and enjoyed a great buffet of specialty cheeses and crackers, as well as beverages, in the theater lobby. At approximately 6:00, they moved on into one of the theater’s two larger screening rooms for a movie.
The movie was an award winning documentary “Forgotten Farms.” The film shows the cultural divide between the new farm to table movement and traditional farming, highlighting the need to examine differences, develop mutual understanding, and find common ground.
