Chapter 1 member Alan Goode was elected chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Manchester Transit Authority. Goode has been a member of the board since 2013.
Goode, a native of Manchester, served as a senior insurance examiner/regulator for the New Hampshire Insurance Department for 37 years before his retirement in 2013. Before serving the state and his city, he also served his country as a 1st lieutenant in the U.S. Army field artillery.
The Manchester Transit Authority was established by the state of New Hampshire on May 1, 1973. The Transit Authority operates both fixed route and pupil transportation for the City of Manchester. The Manchester Transit Authority’s bus service travels throughout Manchester, providing connections to Nashua and Concord for commuters.
