Concord Parade 2010
The float was assembled on Thursday afternoon at the Stickney Ave. garage by OSC Committee members and volunteers. A big thank you to Dave Grandmont, who during his lunchtime on Friday moved our float to a location we could access on Saturday morning. Volunteers also put together close to 1000 celebration cards and lollipops to hand out along the parade route.
Mrs. Claus, Charlene Clark, said, "I had a great time; that was fun." Many of the children waved to Mrs. Claus and we heard quite a few murmurs from the crowd saying, "That is our float," to "Operation Santa Claus, I know them."
Other participants included: Barbara Lillios, Carol Beaudoin, Jane Lyman, Linda Farrell, OSC Chair and her husband John Farrell, and Terri Wright, SEA-NH's Education & Training Coordinator. We also recognize our energetic and fabulous Bishop Brady High School students for their participation. Their smiling faces and great costumes were a welcome addition. Tom Wright, of the New Hampshire Carpenter's Local 118 / Terri Wright's husband graciously provided the truck and trailer for the event.
Operation Santa Claus thanks all of our Sponsors and Donors for their commitment to NH children. We want everyone in this State to know that public and private union members are proud of the support they provide to NH children during the holidays. We hope you are proud of your non-profit organization and the volunteers who have successfully managed this wonderful program for the last 49 years.
