 What is SEA PAC?
SEA PAC stands for the State Employees' Association Political Action Committee.  It is a fund created by voluntary contributions, made by the members of Local 1984.  It is not part of the union’s general treasury and is not funded by SEA dues. Join >>

 Why is SEA PAC important?

In New Hampshire, government at all levels – state, county and municipal – greatly affects our jobs.  We advance the interests of our members and their families at the state house, in the governor's office, in the workplace and at the bargaining table.  Our success depends on electing politicians who will fight for us.

By clicking on the link above, I acknowledge that I am not required to make SEA-PAC contributions as a condition of my employment by my employer or membership in the union, and that only union members and executive/administrative staff who are US citizens or lawful permanent residents are eligible to contribute to SEA-PAC.

Bargaining good contracts for our members begins with electing candidates we can work with.  And winning at the state house, whether it means defeating a privatization effort or funding for our health insurance, only happens when we elect politicians who support us. Join >>

What does SEA PAC use the money for?
SEA PAC funds are used to inform and educate our members on important political issues.  SEA PAC makes contributions to political candidates based on their past voting records and answers to our questionnaires or interviews.  Over three hundred of your fellow union members have joined SEA PAC with contributions ranging from $1 to over $5 per pay period.  Join >>

"In the world of politics we have no permanent friends, only permanent issues.  That’s why we must build a strong, issues-based political program, driven by grassroots action and beholden to no individual or party."

Andy Stern

Ray and Friends
On the right is our friend, Executive Councilor Ray Burton (R-Bath), with North Country SEA members who live in his district.

Doesn’t SEA PAC only support Democrats?
NO.  SEA PAC has a record of supporting candidates regardless of party affiliation, and in fact has contributed thousands of dollars to Republican candidates who have supported our issues.  Join >>

How do I contribute to SEA PAC?
Contributions are authorized by signing a payroll deduction form indicating the amount you wish to contribute.  This form may be returned to your steward, chapter officer, or to the union office.  The card will be forwarded to your payroll clerk who will begin the deductions.  You may request the deduction to be stopped at any time. Click here to request the form.

What if I have more questions?
Please email Brian Hawkins or call the union office at (603) 271-3411.
