CONGRATULATIONS 2010 ATTENDEES - GREAT WORK

Worksite Leadership Academy was developed to engage new and emerging leaders in our Union.  Participants are recognized and recommended for the program by Chapter Leaders, a Board of Director member and/or their Field Representatives.

Participants attend an intensive 2 day program where they are introduced to labor history, the political environment that can help or hurt union members, worksite issues, and ways to engage members in their Chapters.  Trainers from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont provide attendees with a comprehensive look at past and current trends in the labor movement.  Participants agree to attend the entire program and then return to their worksite and Chapters to pass this information onto others.

This training is offered each spring by the Northern New England Council (NNEC) and SEIU.  The NNEC is comprised of SEA-NH/Local 1984, Maine SEA/Local 1989 and Dartmouth Local 560.  Members interested in more information may contact Terri Wright, Education & Training Coordinator at twright@seiu1984.org or 271-3411 X 108
